A.N.: A short, kind of cute, slightly fluffy one-shot for Frey and Arthur (because he's one of the best boyfriends and husbands). Enjoy!
The sky was cloudy and raindrops splash in puddles on the stone paths of Selphia.
Raindrops aren't the only thing splashing in puddles, but Frey's trying hard to not get wet as she hurries to her boyfriend's office.
Soon she pushes through the door before shutting it behind her, laughing to herself lightly.
"Ah, Frey, I was just thinking of you."
She turns to Arthur who is busily shuffling through some papers that are laying across his desk, "I was thinking of you, too..." Frey steps forward before frowning, "Are you still working?"
Arthur turns to her while putting a handful of papers down, "Um, I am indeed. Why do you ask?"
Frey sighs before walking over to the red couch to the left of the door, then she sits down, "You're always working."
Arthur walks over to sit across from her on the other red couch, "Not always," he smiles a bit, "just almost always."
Frey tilts her head, smiling at her blond boyfriend, "As long as you make sure to sleep like you should."
He nods, "Two hours a day is plenty of sleep."
Frey gasps at him, "Arthur, you can't sleep for only two hours!"
Arthur looks down, remembering what happened the last time she found out about his lack of sleep. He blushes at the memory.
"How about some tea?"
Frey sighs, "Fine, but you have to sleep more!"
He tries to act like he's paying attention as he stands to pour them some tea, then he offers her a cup.
"Thanks," Frey murmurs, reaching for the cup. Her hand brushes against his as she grabs the cup, then she stops, blushing at the contact.
They both mumble an apology as they blush and look away.
Time passes in comfortable silence as they sip on their rather warm teas.
Soon, though, Frey realizes that it's already ten, "I should be going," she say, placing her cup on the small table as she stood, "bye, Arthur."
"Wait."
Frey turns around before realizing how close he is. Her face turns a light red color as she stares into his pretty pink and purple eyes. He leans forward slowly, making her blush grow, then he places a soft kiss on her lips, surprising her slightly.
Arthur backs up only enough to see her, "Good night, Frey."
Frey smiles a bit, "G-good night."
He laughs a little, smiling, "You're so cute!"
She turns red again, looking away, but then he pulls her into a hug, which she returns.
It lasts for a while, then he walks her home, hand in hand.
Soon he leaves her at her room, and she goes to bed feeling lightheaded, lighthearted, and too happy. She can't wait to see him again. He's a part of her life. A part that she won't lose. A part that she can't lose.
