Oh my goodness, Rosie's writing for a new fandom? Why yes, yes I am! This hasn't happened in like, six months. Well, I've been a big A:TLA fan since it premiered. I was... like nine. o.O And this has always been one of my fave shippings! I love Taang!
Please, no flames. -.- If you like Kataang, I see where you're coming from, but please respect me too. Yes, when the series started I shipped Kataang (main guy and main girl. Made sense.) But then Toph showed up and I was like "TAANG!" Of course, I didn't know the pairing names at the time, but you get the idea. And I think Katara kinda sees Aang in a more brother-ish way. She's better off with Zuko (yes, I like Zutara too). But hey, that's just me.
This is getting to be a long A/N for such a short story. So I'll wrap things up now.
Enjoy!

EDIT: Oh! Forgot to mention. Pulchritudinous is just a really big word for beautiful. xD
Pulchritudinous Beings
Beauty beyond compare. Maybe. We're not sure.
.x.x.x.
"Trust me. You're beautiful." He said it firmly, hopefully assuring her that she didn't need to worry about her appearance. Ever.
"You do realize I have no idea what beautiful looks like," the girl said as he touched her cheek. He frowned slightly, knowing that was entirely true.
"You have no idea what I look like," he said more to himself than to her.
"Katara's told me some things," she replied with a smirk. "I didn't understand the colors, but I got a general idea." He smiled and looked down at his feet, then back into the eyes of the girl he was talking to. "And from what she said, Twinkles, I can only assume you're pretty good-looking."
"Really?" he asked, surprised that Katara had said such things and that Toph believed them.
"Yeah. But not as good-looking as Sparky," she added, sneering.
And there it was. The insult.
"What does Katara know?" Aang asked heatedly as he crossed his arms over his chest, fully aware of his friend's crush on the new Fire Lord. "That guy has a huge scar on his face."
"And apparently, you have an arrow on yours." He opened his mouth to retort, but nothing came out.
Because, well, she was right.
He laughed after a few seconds and ran a hand through his chocolate-brown hair, which was quickly growing back. "You've got me beat, Toph."
"Of course I do, Twinkle Toes. Now hold still."
"What are you doing?" he gasped as soon as she shoved her hand in his face.
"Trying to figure out what you look like."
"Don't you see with your feet?"
"I can sense vibrations with my hands, too," Toph replied in a proud tone as she continued to feel all over his face. "Besides, I figured you wouldn't want me to stick my foot in your face."
Aang blinked. Twice. Toph was being considerate? The world must have been ending.
"Huh. You seem to look nice enough. I think."
A compliment. Yep, the world was about to end. Aang estimated he had about thirty days to live. Either that or Toph had been replaced by some alien or something.
He suddenly jumped away from her hand and resisted the urge to yell something like "Who are you and what have you done with Toph?"
Just then, Katara walked by, and the possible alien called out, "Hey, Sugar Queen." And at that point, Aang knew the girl sitting in front of him was the real one. "Aang, what's with you?" she asked irritably.
"Um… are you okay? You… called me by my name. And complimented me."
"Do you want me to take it back?"
"No, please."
"Alright then."
"It's just," Aang began, eyes still a bit wide. "You never do that."
And he could've sworn there was a little bit of pink on her cheeks as she turned away and grumbled, "Don't get used to it."
