I'm walking fast through the traffic lights, busy streets and busy lives, and all we know is touch and go, we are alone with our changing minds, we fall in love till it hurts or bleeds or fades in time.

This wasn't how it was supposed to be, she was supposed to love New York. It was all she had ever dreamed of ever since she was a little girl. So why did she feel so broken?

Having Kurt there helped a little, but she couldn't help but feel like a big part of her life was missing.

She walked the streets of New York in the early morning, traffic passed her as she looked up at Times Square. The last time she was here, she was with the Glee club. Her friends. Finn.

Thinking about him used to make her cry but now she just felt numb, New York was changing her. She wasn't too sure if she liked it or not. A single tear trickled down her pink cheeks which she quickly brushed away. Now was not the time to cry, it was the time to face up to New York and start to grow up and move on.

It was only as she continued to walk that she realized she was lost - both physically and mentally. Luckily her cell started blowing up and a small smile crept on to her lips as she saw the caller ID. A smile she couldn't help but feel a little guilty about.

'And I never saw you coming, and I'll never be the same, you come around and the armour falls'

"You do know you have a Maps app on the iPhone of yours right?"

Rachel spun around and smirked at Brody's comment, ''I know.''

Brody stepped closer towards her, his smiled dazzling her along with the bright lights. Her breath hitched, he was wearing a tight black shirt and she couldn't help but stare at him.

"So tell me, if you knew there was an app, why did you beg me to come and find
you?"

Rachel could see it in his eyes, behind the cocky smirk, he was begging her to give him the answer he was looking for. She paused for a moment and searchingly studied his face. She never expected him to come along and change everything, it wasn't in her plan. But then again, he was pretty much the only good thing that was in her life at the moment. She bit her lip and stared at the floor before raising her head to meet Brody's eyes.

"I wanted you to come and save me."

'Pierce the room like a cannonball, now all we know...is don't let go, we are alone, just you and me, up in your room, and our slates our clean.'

It was a Sunday morning and Rachel squinted due to the strong sunlight entering suddenly entering the room. Brody was stood next to the window, cup of coffee in hand, shirtless. She sat up and stared at him for a while, a smile creeping on her face. Rachel was the theatre geek, the one who was always bullied, she wasn't supposed to get a guy like Brody. What if he was only using her, like Jesse? Or only
wanted her for sex? What if he thought she was ugly? She touched her nose gently and sighed. He turned his head to look at her and smiled his million dollar smile.

"Hey beautiful, did you sleep well?'

He walked over to her and kissed her cheek, she closed her eyes and nodded.

"I like sleeping here.'' She revealed. "I don't feel so alone."

Brody didn't say anything for a while, he just got up off the bed and crouched on the floor next to it. He cupped her face in his hands and kissed her softly on the lips, "I promise, you'll never feel alone again."

She had spent months trying to get over Finn and after that simple Sunday morning, she never cried over Finn Hudson again. She was finally beginning to move on.

'This is a state of grace, this is the worthwhile fight, love is a ruthless game, unless you play it good and right, these are the hands of fate, you're my Achilles heel, this is the golden age of something good and right and real.'
