Note: Puck and Rachel are doing a Broadway show together they are working on a new dance section of the show
Puck pause the music on his laptop which was when I get you alone- robin thicke and runs his fingers through his Mohawk. He groans in frustration, "Babe, why are you being so timid? You should be comfortable performing"
"I'm Sorry. I'm trying. It's just we've never done anything like this …" She replies, pulling her sweaty brown locks back in a top knot."
He finishes with a smirk, "Outside of the bedroom."
She shushes him and gave him a playful push. "Remind me why I agreed to do this again".
"The director asked for a Burlesque-Argentine tango number to go with the edgy vibe of the new music and they know we have insane chemistry together "He whispers in her ear, and kisses her neck a few time, "Besides, I wouldn't wanna do this with anyone else, but you".
"Yeah, alright Romeo." She says as she starts the music again on Puck's laptop. "We have choreography to finish."
One month later
It was the first night of the new scene for the show. Puck finishes buttoning the last button on his black silk button down shirt His jaw drops wide open as he sees Rachel walk through her changing room door into the backstage area in her black silk robe open revealing a black and silver lace bra with red rhinestone on it, black silk short shorts and black leather knee high boots Rachel grabs a black trench coat and puts it on once she removes her robe.
Rachel: "Babe, you're about to drool and it's almost time for our dance"
He grabs her hand fighting the urge to move further South on her body.
Onstage Puck sits in a black armless chair on the right of the stage as Rachel stands behind a solid white screen on the left side of the stage. The music starts and the shadow cast against the screen shows her stripping off her jacket
The screen drops out of view Puck leans in closer as she moves her hips from side to side with her hands on the ballet bar. Puck smiles slightly and does a slight "come hither" motion with his finger. She struts confidently towards him like a model on a catwalk, and their eyes are locked on each other as the music picks up they start dancing as if it was just them in a room not them dancing for a sold out crowd.
Rachel and Puck do a Promenade step as Puck guides her across the stage. She playfully swats his hands away from her. Then he starts unbuttoning his shirt. At the last button she grabs his wrist, but she breaks hold and sassily walks away. He catches up after her lifting her over his head; after he puts her down they do a synchronized walk. He spins her, kisses her cheek and they walk offstage together holding hands and the stage goes black with just a spotlight on the chair and the ballet bar and a standing ovation from the crowd.
"You're definitely bringing that costume home after this show is done" Puck tells Rachel once they get off the stage as she giggles.
Note: Promenade also known as the (sweetheart walk) is walking by facing the same direction and stepping forward. This resembles a walk in the park by sweethearts (except they may hold their hands together whereas in tango the embrace is preserved).
