Main Paring: GrayxJuvia

Walk me down the aisle?

'Two days. In two days time, Juvia and Gray-sama will be married.' Juvia thought, as she paced the hotel room. 'Why is Juvia so nervous! Juvia should be happy! Juvia has won against love rival. Juvia should be celebrating! Why is Juvia so nervous?!' Juvia completely forgot about her bridesmaids, that were staring at her, as she grew a nervous aura around her.

"Juvia, what's wrong?" Questioned, Meredy. Juvia stopped dead in her tracks, and turned around. All five of her bridesmaids were standing in the hallway, as they watched the bride pace around the hotel room.

"Juvia was just rambling. Nothing's wrong, don't worry." Juvia attempted to give a smile to her bridesmaids; Meredy, Lucy, Erza, Levy, and Bisca. It didn't work. Especially when Asuka came out from behind her mother, and stared at Juvia. "Mommy, I think Juvia is lying." The young flower girl said.

The bridesmaids, surrounded Juvia. "Spill, Juvia. What's the matter?" Erza demanded. "N-Nothing, Erza-san!" Juvia waved her hands in front of her, in a nervous manner.

"She stuttered!" Levy exclaimed. Everyone stared at Juvia. "Jiiiiii" Was a sound, faintly heard across the room. All of her friends eyes were viciously staring at her, waiting for her to 'pop'.

Juvia couldn't take it. They were all pressuring her! It was her own thoughts. They shouldn't worry! But they are. Should she really tell them? Her friends were being relentless, as they continued to close in on the water-mage.

"OH, alright!" Juvia finally said. The pressure building up inside of her was too great. They all backed up from her, as to give her space. Juvia sighed. "Juvia is nervous." She said bashfully.

"Ha, I knew it!" Lucy exclaimed, while pointing an accusing finger at Juvia.

"What are you nervous about? Gray? The dress? What, honey? You can tell us." Bisca said, her motherly personality getting the best of her. Bisca's hand rested on Juvia's back, trying to soothe Juvia; trying to get a clear response.

"J-Juvia isn't really sure." Everyone was silent, as they waited for her to continue. "Juvia keeps going over everything in her head. Juvia knows she picked the perfect dress, delicious cake-" Erza's eyes glinted, as the memory of cake shopping with Juvia popped into her mind. "Beutiful venue and flowers, and the guest list is full. Juvia even has the perfect groom. It's just... Juvia feels like something is missing." Juvia finished her confession. All her bridesmaids pondered, as to what could be missing. It was then, that Bisca thought of one of the most crucial parts of a wedding.

"Wait, Juvia, do you have someone to give you away?" Bisca asked. Juvia froze. 'Someone's supposed to give me away? Oh, No! Juvia never thought about that! Juvia should have gotten a wedding planner, darn-it!' Juvia's eyes widened, as her thoughts ran wild.

"You don't, do you?" Meredy asked. Juvia shook her head. "What is Juvia going to do!? The wedding is two days away, and Juvia doesn't have someone to walk her down the aisle!" Juvia started to hyperventilate.

"Calm down, Juvia. Just go ask your dad." Meredy said. Erza glanced at Meredy. 'Juvia doesn't have a dad.' Erza mouthed to Meredy. "Oh, er, who is you father figure?" Asked Meredy.

"The master, but Juvia doesn't think she has been at Fairy Tail long enough to be called the master's daughter." Juvia replied, her breathing becoming normal. "Hmmmm, perhaps someone you see as a brother? Or someone who you have known for a long time?" Suggested Lucy. Juvia thought of the many people she knew. She just wasn't sure!

"How about we worry about that later? I don't want you worrying about your 'big day', when it's only two days away." Levy said. "I agree." Erza said, her head nodding in approval. Juvia was soon dragged off by her friends, to do whatever fun activities they had thought of.

As nice as getting it was getting her nails done, Juvia couldn't shake away her thoughts. The wedding wasn't that far away, and Juvia began to feel sick to her stomach. She didn't know what she would do if she couldn't find someone to give her away. What was she going to do! She couldn't think of anyone.

Juvia continued to walk around Magnolia. She thought a summer night walk could help clear her mind.

She folded her hands in front of her, and glanced at Magnolia's shining street lights. "Magnolia is so pretty." Juvia thought out loud. The lights glimmered in the dark of the night; providing light, along with the stars.

Juvia stood there, at the top of a hill, admiring the city she would be married in. Juvia swooned at the thought of her and Gray, running out of the Cathedral. "Ahhh, Gray-sama will look so handsome in his suit!" Juvia once again, thought out loud-This time, with hearts in her eyes. But of course, she had no idea what his suit looked like, so she conjured up something from her memory. And then, there it was. An emptiness inside of Juvia. A tinge of regret, that grew the more she thought about the wedding. And she had unintentionally forgotten an important part.

Her expression faltered to a sorrowful frown. She stared at the brick road, contemplating what she should do.

"Juvia?" A gruff voice called. Juvia turned around, and saw Gajeel walking towards her. His hands in his pockets, as he strolled down the street.

"Gajeel-kun? What are you doing here?" Juvia asked. Gajeel walked up next to her, crossing his arms in his grumpy manner. "Nothin, just trying to get away from your fiance. He got dragged into a pre-party, and now is as drunk as Cana on New Year's." Gajeel explained. Juvia became worried.

"Gray-sama isn't doing anything unfaithful, is he?" She asked, afraid of Gray's drunken state of mind. Gajeel could see the worry in her eyes. One word could make her cry a river, or sigh in relief.

"Nah. He started mumblin about ya, and then started to beat the shit out of Leon. He claimed that Leon was 'trying to steal Juvia, again'." Gajeel replied, emphasizing his quote by bending his fingers at every word.

"Ahhh, Gray-sama is still protecting Juvia, even when we are separated!" Juvia swooned. Gajeel stared at Juvia, wondering if she would ever stop her spontaneous swooning habits.

"Anyways rain-woman, what are ya doin out here? Shouldn't you be with bunny-girl, shrimp, and the others?" Gajeel asked. Juvia stopped, and stared at the night sky.

"Juvia was just...thinking." Juvia said.

"'Bout what?" Gajeel pressed on, trying to help his friend.

"Juvia doesn't want to worry Gajeel-kun." Juvia replied, looking at the dragon slayer.

"Well, it's better than lettin me leave ya here. What's wrong? It can't be that bad, since it ain't raining." Gajeel said, gesturing towards the clear sky.

Juvia glanced up again. It wasn't raining, Gajeel was right. But she wasn't mad, she was just nervous.

"So what's wrong?" Gajeel asked, his attention returning to her worried face.

Juvia sighed. She knew Gajeel wasn't a person to easily give up, and he would most likely stay with her, until she gave him an answer. "Juvia doesn't have anyone to walk her down the aisle." She confessed, looking away from Gajeel.

"Just ask the master, I'm sure he would do it for ya." Gajeel said calmly.

"But that's the thing! Juvia doesn't want the Master to do it! The master is more of a father to Gray-sama, not Juvia!" Juvia exclaimed. They stood in silence, both thinking of who could walk Juvia down the aisle. And then it hit her, like a tsunami.

"Gajeel-kun?" She called, trying to get his attention.

"Yeah?"

"Would, um- could Gajeel-kun walk Juvia down the aisle?" She asked, nervously.

"Nani!?" Gajeel shouted, dragging on the word, as he had a mental 'freak-out'. He was a bit flattered that she had asked him, but they weren't family! They were friends, and he would feel selfish if he was the one to give her away.

"Could Gajee-"

"I know what you said, but why me?!" Gajeel asked, interrupting Juvia.

"Juvia has known you the longest. It makes sense that you would walk Juvia down the aisle. And since you aren't a groomsman, there wouldn't be any complications." Juvia explained, letting the words seep into Gajeel's mind.

Juvia could tell that Gajeel was hesitant. That's when the romantic part of her mind came into play. "If you accept, then you get a front seat at the wedding." Juvia said.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Gajeel asked, suspicious of what the blue-haired woman was thinking. "It means you get a perfect view of my bridesmaids." Juvia snickered a bit, her eyebrows bouncing up and down suggestively.

Gajeel wasn't dumb. He knew what she meant. "Levy.." He said, his voice drifting off. Juvia giggled.

"So will you do it, Gajeel-kun?" She asked, a smile forming on her face.

"Yeah." He said, his own smile forming.

"Yay!" Juvia joyfully exclaimed. Next thing Gajeel knew, was the water-mage jumping onto him, giving him a large hug.

"O-Oi, don't get all sappy on me!" Gajeel stammered.

Now Juvia couldn't wait for the wedding! Especially when someone special to her would be walking her down the aisle.

And that's it for now, my lovelies! If anyone is wondering, I did pick out who were the groomsmen, and bridesmaids.

Meredy as Maid of honor. Leon as best man. I do not ship them, don't get the wrong idea!

Next we have Levy and Loke. I also do not ship them.

I also have Lucy and Natsu. Yes, I ship them. You all should know!

Then there is Erza and Jellal. I also ship them.

And finally, Bisca and Alzack. They are so cute together. ^^

Asuka is the flower girl, and there is no ring bearer... I just think Romeo is too old for that. I don't know of a male mage younger than Romeo.

I really enjoyed writing this. Especially since this is my first GrUvia story. I don't really like GajeelxJuvia stories, unless it's friendship. I only see them as friends after all, and I thought it would be really cute for Gajeel to walk Juvia down the aisle.

*Sniffle*

If that ever happens. Hopefully we'll all see something between out favorite water and ice mages when they appear again in the manga?...

I hope you all loved this! It was a very spontaneous one-shot I came up with. Also check out the poll on my page, and my other stories.

Don't forget to review, follow, and favorite! It helps a lot!

XOXO
