Elena looked at the Christmas tree, the tiny multi-colored lightbulbs twinkling and the glass star reflecting their light. She was all alone on Christmas, much to her distaste. Jeremy was afraid of hurting her, Stefan was off with Klaus, and she hadn't found Damon laying beside her when she had woken up.

She heaved a sigh and stood, feeling the need to do more than sit on the couch. But just what could she do? A brilliant thought appeared in her head and she smiled widely. It was snowing outside, so Elena had decided to do what she hasn't in years; build a snowman.

Elena rushed outside and started to make her snowman, dressed in a black coat with a red scarf around her neck. After what only seemed like minutes, Elena felt a snowball smack against her back. She whipped around on her heel to find a smirking Damon. She rolled her eyes and threw a snowball at him, harder than intended. He fell on his back and Elena couldn't contain her laughter any longer. She threw her head back and barked out a thunderous laugh. Unknown to her, Damon had crept up behind her and captured her hands behind her back and put a hand over her mouth.

"Not much to laugh at now, is there?" He told her.

She rolled her eyes and decided to try something. She extracted her fangs and bit his palm. He instantly loosened his grip and she used that to her advantage. She quickly retracted her fangs and spun around to face him. She tackled him to the ground and kissed his cheek.

"Nothing to laugh about now." She said smiling.

He rolled his eyes and pulled her head down to meet him. He kissed her fiercely and smiled as Elena pulled away looking slightly dazed.

"Can I have you for Christmas?" She asked.

He responded by bringing her lips back to his.
