Elisa gave me the prompt, "tragedy." I don't own NCIS.
"I don't know why she hasn't called me back. Did I do something wrong? Did I have something stuck in my teeth? I could've sworn that the date went well. What did I do wrong? The women usually call me the day after the date, begging for more," Tony rambled, looking over at her from his desk.
"Maybe she was disgusted by your love for movies?" Ziva suggested.
"Turned off, by my love for movies you mean? No, no, that couldn't have been it. Women usually love my knowledge of movies."
"Well, she obviously did not, if she's not calling you."
Tony glared at Ziva from his computer and shook his head. "No, Ziva. The date went perfectly well. I just wish I could know why she hasn't called me back yet," he complained, shaking his head.
"Oh, what a tragedy...that is what you Americans say, yes? It is a tragedy that a woman has not called the Tony DiNozzo back the day after their first date," Ziva said automatically, not looking up from her computer screen.
"It is a tragedy, Ziva. I do not think you understand the seriousness of the situation!"
"Oh, I understand, Tony. You are worried because a girl that you have just met and taken out to dinner is not calling you back. It has not been twenty-four hours since the date and you are rambling! You need to take a deep breath. It is not a tragedy that you are facing. She is probably at work...or attending classes. You need to calm down and stop this nonsense," Ziva scolded.
Tony glared at her slightly and sighed. "She is not in college, Ziva. But, you are right. Maybe I should calm down," he agreed.
She smiled and then said, "Good. Now, let me get back to my paperwork," before looking back at her computer screen and typing.
