Coins
By Niniel

"NO! I don't want that!" The whole castle seemed to shake as the words were shouted and the guards standing outside the doors to the council chamber both to keep people who had no business in there out and in case they were needed inside could easily hear their lord's shout. They looked at each other in question for a fraction of a second, then opened the doors quickly and forcefully, but the sight that greeted them was nothing like what they'd expected:

Their king standing in the middle of the room in an agitated posture holding a coin in his hand with the man in charge of the making of the new coins still standing next to the throne with a scared look in his eyes.

Aragorn looked at the guards uncomprehending for a moment, before he realized that they must have heard him yelling and his cheeks coloured slightly.

"Let's just have the white tree on them instead alright?" he said a little lamely to the man by the throne who nodded, relieved.

The king walked back over to the throne and sat down lightly, a smile on his lips, "Then that is what we decide" he said happily and the man nodded once more and left the room quickly with his coins.

The guards still in the door looked at each other once more in bewilderment, then at their eccentric king and shaking their heads they closed the door once more wondering what all that had been about.
