"Serena, I just don't love you anymore! I'm sorry but that's just the way it is! Now leave me alone!!!"
I yelled at her. I actually yelled at the only true love in my entire life. I could see the tears building up in her gorgeous blue eyes.
"How is it possible to just stop loving someone, tell me Darien please! I don't understand!! Is it me? I can change please ,Darien, please!!!!"
This had to stop. I couldn't take hearing her like this. I had to get out fast. Glancing around I tried to find a way to get those burning blue eyes off of me. I know I don't want to hurt her any more but I had to get out of there.
" Serena you're absolutely right. It's a wonder you figured it out all on your own what with the grades you make. It *is* you. Face it, I don't want to be stuck with some crybaby, klutzy, little girl who can't do anything right! There you have your explanation, so why don't you run along with your little friends."
I'm not much of a liar really. I've never thought it to be worth the trouble but that lie made me look like a professional. At least I didn't crack up, and she bought it. So I guess I got what I wished for, as those burning tear filled eyes slowly looked up at me and started to retreat, but not before crushing my battered heart one last time.
" How could you be so mean? and..and and cruel?! I …I…HATE you Darien Shields!"
