The planet had no idea what to do with him, so sent him to the promised land. The others had mixed reactions, but all were negative. Either they scorned, ignored him, or were flat out rude to him. He had killed the last of their kind and tried to destroy the planet, they were not about to forgive him.
She, however, was pleasant to him. When she saw him she gave him a "Hello." Sometimes she even asked how his day was going. At first he had been surprised, but gradually he started to reply. First it was a hello back, then he started to have genuine conversations with her. The other Cetra thought she was mad, but instead of confronting her, they came to him, demanding to know what he was doing to her.
He told them the truth, that he hadn't done a thing. They didn't believe him, but left him alone none the less. Gradually though, they started to grudgingly accept that she wasn't under any control, and was really being kind to him. Soon it was accepted for her to be around him, and vise versa. Rumors had started that the two ere more than friends, but no one believed them.
That is, until her mother walked in on the two kissing.
