See, Hear, Feel, Say
What we saw that day
Was the beginning of the end of peace.
As two towers that touched the sky
Fell to the earth in ruin.
What we heard that day
Was the beginning of hatred.
As a group of people dancing the street
In joy for the death they made
What we felt that day
Was the continuous shock
As we asked
How did this happen
Yet, what they said
With their voices loud
Full of hate
"Let them fell our wrath,
They can't get away with this!"
But, amid the confusion,
Among those who attempted
To rescue the fallen
A lone voice, quiet,
Yet always repetitive,
"And I said, when I saw,
That disaster, that day,
Lord, let not my heart
Be filled with hatred today"
Notes: Well, here is my 9/11 poem.
Needless to say, I was activated with the Army National Guard to help
with the process. To see what remained was, for me, a disturbing
sight. I will not go into detail, but suffice to say the news
pictures did not, could not rather, cover the whole deal. Not
their fault. Just too awsome to complete.
