Summery: The last of the Light line was Lila Light, who lived in Vieton with her husband, Peter, in the late 1600's. When Lila was killed, her husband fled with their twin children, who were never recovered by the other Macht witches. Since then the Light magic has been dormant, unused and unknown, in countless descendents.
The Macht witches of Vieton spent the good part of a year searching for Lila Light's lost husband and her young son and daughter, but to their great dismay they were never found.
Peter Light went to great lengths to disappear from the world, though it was much easier to create a new identity during his time. Peter went far beyond that though. Not only did he create new identity but he also bought friendships so it would seem as if they were true members of the community that they moved to.
It was very hard on the children when they ran away after Lila died. The twins were five years old and the boy had no idea what was doing on, his sister had always been wise beyond her years.
"Daddy, what's going on?" Logan asked when they had finally settled down and started getting comfortable. "Where's mommy and why can't we stay in Vieton?" Vieton was a city, created by Macht witches, that was kept safe from the original Midnight.
"A bad person in Vieton killed mommy, and we have to live here to stay safe. We also need to pretend to be other people and we can't use magic anymore, at all."
"But daddy, why can't we use magic?"
"If we use magic it will be easier for the bad people to find us," Logan's twin Cassandra said. "And we can't contact the other's because if we can't fool our allies into believing we're dead then we won't be able to fool our enemies either." There was a short silence in which both men took time to think about what Cassandra had said. Then she asked the big question, "What's going to happen to us."
