Just a little Valentines Day one shot. I haven't written anything since just before Christmas, so I figured I should probably write something, haha. Enjoy!

"S'cuse me..."

Status Quo jumped slightly, startled by the person who stood beside the chair on which she sat...she hadn't heard anyone enter the room. She turned to her swivel chair to the left and her two different coloured eyes flickered upward.

"Oh. Hey Angel. You scared me there." she muttered halfheartedly, resting her head in her hands.

Fallen Angel dropped her gaze, but a smile remained on her face. Though Angel was typically not one to be shy, she shifted awkwardly from foot to foot and she kept her hands tucked behind her back.

"Sorry," she replied, her accent heavy, "I didn't mean t' scare ya. You missed breakfast though, so I came to find ya ....What have you been doin' up here anyways?" As she spoke her gaze drifted around her friend's bedroom. Torn pah-sters lined the walls, while clothes, books and sheet music littered the floor along with the torn leather swivel chair that Status Quo currently sat upon. In the midst of all the mess was Quo's unmade bed in the dead center of the room. It didn't look like much of a place to celebrate the day, especially since there wasn't even anyone to join her friend in bed...

Status Quo raised head slightly, and sighed before replying. "You know I don't like Valentines Day, Angel. It's so lame, so commercial, so Ga Ga." Quo made a face as the words "Ga Ga" passed her lips.

"So y'er just goin' t' sit up here and sulk all day then?" Angel asked, her thin brows knitting together.

"Yup."

"A'ight," Angel sighed as she chewed on her bottom lip, "Feel free to come down stairs if ya change y'er mind..."

With that, Fallen Angel turned on her heels and began to walk away. Her pace was slow and her eyes were fixed on the floor. Quo thought she looked sad, dejected almost. Then she noticed the pink item Angel had been hiding, still tucked between her hands and kept behind her back.

"Angel," Status Quo began as she stood up and headed in the direction of her friend," What that you've got there...the thing behind your back?"

Angel stopped dead in her stracks. "What are ya talkin' about? I don't have anythin'," she replied as she swiftly turned towards Quo, so the object could not be seen.

"But you do," Status Quo insisted,"I saw it when your were walking. It's kinda little...and very pink..."

Knowing she'd been caught, Angel revealed the heart shaped piece of pink construction paper that she had been hiding. "This?" she asked with a short laugh; A laugh that, to Status Quo, sounded rather fake. "Oh, this is nothin'. I found it on the ground in the stairwell...y'know on my way up here."

Status Quo crossed her arms and started to tap her left foot impatiently. "...It says "be mine" on it," she grinned raising her eyebrows.

"Well maybe it had y'er name in it and I was just bringin' it up here for ya?" Angel tried, shrugging her shoulders as she handed the card to Quo.

Quo slowly opened the heart shaped card. Despite it being signed with a question mark, she immediately recognised Angel's hand writting.

"Happy Valentines Day, Angel." she murmered, softly, pulling Angel in for a hug. As the two began to part, Status Quo planted a kiss on Angel's lips. "Happy Valentines Day." she murmered once more.

A large grin began to grow on Angel's face.

"I thought ya weren't a fan of Valentines Day," Angel teased, as she twirled a strand of Quo's hair, before stealing another kiss.

To this Status Quo did not reply. She simpley grabbed hold of Angel and together the two of the toppled backwards on to Status Quo's bed.
