Inuyasha: Baby Names: One-Shot
Summary: Kagome is about six months pregnant and she and Inuyasha are coming up with some baby names.

Inuyasha yawned as he walked down the stairs the next morning and scratched his head as he walked in the living room and leaned against the wall and stared at his girlfriend Kagome Higurashi. She was in her pink robe and typing on the laptop with a clipboard sitting beside her. He raised an eyebrow. "Uh, what are you doing?"
Kagome looked up at him and smiled brightly. "Good morning Inuyasha. Sleep well? Oh and this," She held up her clipboard and laptop. "Just coming up with some baby names." Inuyasha cocked his head to the side and walked over to take a look at the clipboard and started reading at the names that were written on here.
Akemi
Chika
Gina
Hana
Inuyasha stared at her. "These are girls names you know that right? What if we have a boy?" He asked, handing her back the clipboard. They want to know the gender of the baby when she gives birth which is not too far away. Kagome giggled.
"Well I was going to ask you if you can handle the boys names and I will handle the girls names." Inuyasha bit his lip and ran a hand through his silver hair. Kagome raised an eyebrow. "Something wrong?" Inuyasha shook his head.
"What? No, no nothing is wrong it's just that," He trailed off and looked down to stare at her growing belly. "I am not good coming up with names.
"Well here's one," She clicked on the link of the website she was on. "Kei. It means blessed, lucky." Inuyasha wrinkled his nose and scoffed.
"No way in hell I would name our child that." Kagome glared at him and placed her hands onto her belly.
"No cussing Inuyasha! The baby can hear you!" She told him. Inuyasha rolled his eyes.
"It's not like the baby will remember it Kagome." Inuyasha leaned over to get a better look at the boys names. "Hey, what about Ken? It means healthy and strong." He gave her a smile. She looked at him. "What?" Kagome shook her head and sighed.
"It sounds plain. I don't want to name our baby with a name that sounds plain." Inuyasha groaned and rubbed his forehead.
"You are very difficult Kagome." He muttered, looking at the names. "Okay, if it's a boy how about Makoto?" Kagome raised an eyebrow and leaned closer to look at the meaning.
"Sincere and true. Hmm, I actually like it." She grabbed her clipboard and brought it in front of Inuyasha's face. "Your turn to choose a girl's name." Inuyasha sighed and looked down at the names.
"Fine. I like the name Akemi." He muttered. Kagome gasped in surprised. "What? What?" He asked, looking around the living room.
"That's the name I like too! We think alike!" She giggled and snuggled close to Inuyasha. "I guess that is why we are mates right? Because we are so much alike?" Inuyasha laughed.
"In some ways yea, but that's probably why." He sighed. "So, Akemi and Makoto huh?" Kagome nodded.
"I can't wait to see our baby soon." Kagome whispered, suddenly feeling tired. Inuyasha smiled.
"Yea, me too Kagome."
Author's Note: It has been a long time since I had written anything about Inuyasha. I think the only story I had of Inuyasha was published in 2010 and it was a one-shot. So this is my second Inuyasha one-shot with Kagome and Inuyasha. Hope that you guys liked it and review please!
