EDAWRD'S LULLABY
I heard a song,
it came from my heart.
It shock me to my core,
with feelings not meant to be felt,
the notes raising and falling,
up and down upon my soul.
I felt myself dance in the melody,
got lost in the song.
I felt peace.
I felt love.
I felt joy.
As I spun to my heart,
my world in a song.
When I focused my eyes,
they landed on you.
And then I saw clearly,
since that start of that song,
it was not my heart singing.
It was yours,
all along.
