My Gardener
By Scarlet Starlet of the Wind
A/N: This is like a companion to Cold In The Rain, kind of...
God is my Gardener,
He picked the rocks out of my heart,
Removed the thorns and weeds,
Planted His seed,
And let me grow.
(-------)
He waters me everyday,
With love and peace and joy that stays,
He talks to me, sweetly and softly,
As if to guide a lost soul -
I live by His breaths.
(-------)
Firmly rooted, I can't go,
I can't pick up my roots and walk,
Because if I go into what I don't knwo,
I will wilt,
Lost, without Him.
(-------)
He has other plants too,
And He cares for them,
The same as I,
All I can do is cry,
Because I know I am not worthy.
(-------)
With His eyes,
He affirms I am now worthy,
Because now, I rest in His glory,
Now, I bask in His light.
(-------)
When the frost comes,
He puts the shield of his word over us, His garden,
And the frost flies over us,
The cold over his garden.
(-------)
When the rain comes,
He knows it's good for us,
The cold rain falls,
And even though it may hurt,
We grow.
(-------)
We will grow.
