"ACHOO *sniff*, I hate this time of the year", Gregory says to himself. It's spring time and that's alway a big problem for Gregory, he hates when his nose clogs up. It's a bright, Monday morning and Gregory and his twin sister, Taylor, are walking to the bus stop for school.
"You sound awful" Taylor says sympathetically. Gregory glairs at her. It's early in the morning, about 6:40, and Gregory really doesn't want her to be talked to.
"Shut it!" He barks. Taylor backs off and stares sadly at the ground. A few minutes pass and the bus rolls up next to them. As Gregory steps on the bus, he hears something. Something like a guitar pick grinding against a piano string. 'Weird', Gregory thinks and continues to get on the bus. At school he meets up with his two best friends Nick and Frank, but they seem to be scared. They both run over and say, "The principal is looking for you!"
Gregory is frantic, "WHY?! I JUST GOT HERE! There's nothing I could have done!"
"Calm down, maybe it's a misunderstanding," Nick sputters out, "Maybe Mr. Smith just needs you help to..." The sound of the loud-speaker says, "Please send Gregory Bridges to the Principal's office. I repeat, please send Gregory Bridges to the Principal's office." Gregory feels a cold wave go down his spine. Gregory starts his walk to the office, but he then hears that same weird sound again. Though Gregory is too terrified to stop and listen.
He gets to the office and stammers, "H-hello?...Y-y-you asked to see me?" The lights were strangely dimmed and from the shadows a odd voice came out.
"Congratulations-s-s-s" said the hissing voice, "you have been chos-s-s-sen for a s-s-s-special award". Gregory felt what could only be described as two enormous snakes wrapping around him. He tried to struggle out, but to no avail. Just then, another figure leapt from the shadows.
"GERONIMO!" The figure jumped on the "principal's"back and wrestled it until it was immobile.
"Clara, get the Plasma Stun Rod!" Said the figure. "The what!?" Said another bursting through the door. "The big shiny stick, Clara!" Said the man. "Oh!" Said the other one and zapped the principal. When it was all done, Gregory couldn't believe what he just saw. Gregory could only say.
"Who are you guys?" They both look at him. "I'm the Doctor and this is Clara Oswald", explains the man. The "Doctor" was tall and was wearing a red fez on his head. The woman was a little shorter, with a white sweater on and a black skirt.
"Who or what was that?" Gregory asks. "That" The Doctor explains. "Was a Causus Depfilpous, also known as snake people". Gregory thinks long and hard about what to say next.
He asks,"Why was it after me?" The Doctor says, "I don't know, but I know where we could find out! Follow me everyone" The Doctor and Clara both walk out and Gregory fallows.
"Where are we going?" Gregory demands. The Doctor turns around slowly and softly states, "Where they live…THE CENTER OF THE EARTH!"
