Differences Put Aside

Six years. Student life left behind. Graduation signalling a sorrowful end, and a new beginning; the lives of Huntresses – slaying Grimm, saving people, making the world a better place – now fully embraced, with little to no regrets.

Each morning filled with the scents of perfume and mystical flowers, the warmth of a gentle embrace from your significant other. Monochrome tresses tangled over the grey pillow, placed on the bed in the far right of a spacious bedroom. A hearth, for the purpose of romance as its flames cast its romantic light over the room, shadows dancing, now unused. A house for two, an odd but even balance of wealth and humble necessities for the residents, finally fully decorated after months of planning.

The bed, king size and grey with white sheet, and in it, two forms – female – sleeping soundlessly with only their gentle breathing lulling each other. A pair of rings, two halves of a vow for something sacred, decorating two fingers, the women now two halves of each other, completing one another, shining a light on their significant other's weaknesses and enhancing one another's strengths.

A confession – tearful, seemingly hopeless – still fresh on the women's mind to this day, four years later, still bringing a smile to their faces even as they dream, for it was an unforgettable moment – the moment courage allowed the sacred words be uttered…

´I love you! I have…for the longest time, I've…! W-Would you please go out with me?! With…marriage in mind?´

Bold, and the words – and the meaning behind them – ringing true.

Black and White. Beauty and a Beast embracing in front of the mirror, the fairest couple of all, said with slight cockiness and pride but stemmed from love.

A stir in bed. Sunlight filtered from the windows, illuminating the room. The beautiful dark beast of a woman further stirs, on the verge of waking up from the realm of Dreams, eyelids fluttering open, revealing her golden-yellow twin pools. Tiredly they peer around, adjusting to the light, until they find pale blue eyes, and brightened once they do, a warm smile curving the dark-haired woman's lips as she lets her hand caress her beloved's face.

"Good morning…"

"Good morning, Blake…"

"Sleep well?"

"How could I not, with you by my side?"

The Faunus chuckles, a melodic sound, and leans closer to chastely kiss her lover's forehead. "I could ask the same, Weiss."

The snow-haired woman snuggles up to her wife-to-be with a pleasant coo. "Fair enough."

They drifted back into silence, quietly appreciating each other's forms in such a romantically close proximity. Blake's fingers absentmindedly played with silver-white locks, her mind occupied by many a thoughts; each involving the woman next to her whom she had once considered an enemy to Faunus. But once they put their differences aside…

"Hey, Weiss?"

"Hm?"

They allowed something to grow between them.

"I love you."
