What Money Can't Buy
There were many things that Draco could do for Hermione that Ron couldn't, but she chose to ignore this fact because of how much she loved her ginger prince. However, the day Malfoy came around to the Weasly household for dinner armed with nothing but flowers, Hermione began to re-consider.
The thing that had irritated her most about Draco was that he was always promising the impossible. He could find Buckbeak, who had run away, and bring him home. He could buy Hermione and her family a huge house, with lots of maids; she'd never have to work again. He could give her the best of anything money could buy. He could even travel to Australia and find her parents.
But as soon as Draco realised that Hermione wanted love, not possessions, he stopped trying to buy her the world. He visited her more often and they would talk. Soon her hatred for the Slytherin began to fade, and they became close friends, and eventually, much to Ron's disgust and Draco's delight, they even became lovers.
