I sat down in the office chair and glanced at the digital clock to my right. I was just barely on time, the clock read 11:56 pm. Everything had already been shut down and locked up for the night aside from the two emergency doors to my sides. My eyes wandered to the clock again, it read 12:00 am. It was time. I swallowed the lump of nervousness in my throat and steeled my resolve. I had no reason to be worried. This was my last night in this cursed hellhole and I knew the building and its occupants quite well. I would be fine.

I glanced down at the security footage, quickly flipping between cameras. I blinked in disbelief. I was hardly thirty minutes into my shift and every single animatronic was out. It took me a moment to absorb this and the second I did, I nearly fell though the door frame as I tried to reach for the emergency light to my right. I push the button and there was, fortunately, nothing there. I scrambled to the other door, pressing the light switch as quickly as I could, only to barely withhold a scream. I managed to resist my instinct to run and slammed my fist into the emergency door button so hard I thought for a moment I may had broken it. The solid steel door dropped to the ground with a loud clang and I picked myself up off the floor. I sat back in the chair and released a shaky breath.

I had no reason to be worried.

Trembling hands continued the pattern of checking cameras and door lights. The last time I checked the clock it was 4:37 am; I was so close to getting my pay and never seeing this damned place again. I picked up the security tablet once more flipping through the cameras. I couldn't move, I felt numb. It felt like all blood had drained from my body when I saw Pirate Cove. The curtains were swung wide open and... Foxy was no where to be seen.
