I'm pretty sure I haven't seen this done anywhere, but just 4 days off of a year after "Bubbled" aired, I thought of the one way I think the episode could have been even better than it already was. A brief, seconds-long detour away from the actual dialogue, which still leaves space open to return to it afterwards... I actually don't know why something like this wasn't included...

"You expect me to believe anything, don't you?" Eyeball accuses of Steven, beyond fed up with all the trickery she and her platoon have been dealt by the Crystal Gems to-date. More than anything, though, she blames herself for falling for it – the general impression her breed gives off is one of low intelligence, but many of them are at the very least cunning and observant enough to use this to some advantage. At least, she always thought herself to be one of those Rubies...
"Fool me once, shame on me," she laments. "Fool me four times; you already fooled me, and you can't fool me again," she promises, mostly for herself.
Steven sighs, glancing behind her, and remarks, "Good thing for that Homeworld ship coming here."
"Wha-" Eyeball glances around, sees nothing even mistakable for a ship, then turns to see Steven grinning and giving her a sly gesture with both his index fingers.
For having upped the count to five, Steven is rewarded with a furious Ruby roar.
The end.
AN: Then again, maybe a prank like that, under those circumstances, would be a little too savage for sweetie-pie Steven's liking...
