I do not own anything to do with Gears of war, this is just a little something I came up with, I was imaging what any children would be told about the locust. It just had to be a scary story

please enjoy and feel free to comment on anything

It was just a story, a children's story that was told just to freak them out, something to be used to frighten one another.

They said the Boogieman came to find children wondering the streets aimlessly; they took the children away deep underground where they were to never be seen again.

Children refused to dig holes in the sand boxes at school; they were afraid they would come to face the Boogieman and dragged under.

Every now and then when the ground shook the children's thoughts instantly came to the conclusion the Boogieman was coming to get them.

They made sure they were never outside when the ground shook; they made sure they were inside before it got dark.

That was until the stories came saying the Boogieman would come up from the deep underground into the bedroom of children and take them away in their sleep.

Some people thought they could hear the children screaming as they were taking back down from the hole the Boogieman emerged from.

Deep inside they knew that the Boogieman wasn't real. They could take comfort in the fact that they could never harm us, they were just make-believe monsters.

Stupid stories.

The children were outside on the lawn in a tent, in the dark singing songs and telling the scary stories.

When everyone finally fell asleep it was quiet, they were all tiered and it was going to be a long day tomorrow.

The young boy couldn't sleep he lay there in his sleeping bag clutching it tightly, the story wasn't real, and he kept telling himself that.

He drifted off into his sleep eventually.

The wind howled, as a darkened figure stood outside the tent breathing heavily, its breathing was odd, it wasn't human.

Huuuummmmmaaaaannnnsssss.....

The wind picked up and the screams were carried on miles and miles, but by then no one could help.

Darkness.... You're not afraid are you?
