Just a poem I wrote for English. R&R please!

Happily Ever After?

Fiction should come with a warning label

Caution: may induce

Urges to lock yourself in a tower and lay pitifully on the bed

Spontaneous bursts of singing to animals

Sudden midday daydreams about fictional boyfriends

Suddenly it will hit you

You're no fairytale princess

No prince charming to come and rescue you in shining armor

As much as you wish and you hope

That "Prince Charming" will come over and realize you're his princess

It's not going to happen

Because as much as you want to be a perfect princess

You're only a geek and he's Mr. popular

Your fate will never intertwine with his

Warning for your own sanity: don't read fiction

You'll find no gold threaded "Happily Ever After"

On the back of your fairytale

So forget fictional characters and black words on pages

Get out there and live your life

Click the little green button, it won't shock you!
