A/N: Thank you for the support over the course of episode one. I'm glad you all enjoyed the first peak into my idea of the third series. Hopefully you'll be just as happy with this update.
Welcome to episode two.
Prologue
The night sky burned, the fires of a billion stars blackening the heavens.
A figure stood on a hilltop, watching, the sky burning in his eyes.
Another kind of brightness burned – the city lights below him. New Olympia tainted all in its light, casting off the darkness in neons and car headlights. He was sick of the city, sick of seven of its million inhabitants. Perhaps it was time, time to strike, after months of inaction. He was sick of waiting. It was time to act.
He felt stronger. He had been weak the last time he had faced them. Perhaps his temporary mortality had taken a toll on him. But he was certain it was out of his system now. He felt his old strength flowing through him.
A low rumbling echoed in the distance. A storm was on the horizon. He smelt it in the air; the taste of rain, and something else. Something he couldn't quite place his finger on. Change? Maybe. Something new? Quite possibly. Maybe… a turn of the tide? That was it. The tide was turning as the storm approached.
Cronus smiled.
Yes, it was definitely time.
