I crossed my arms over my chest. It was time to meet an old friend. Someone I hadn't really met in some time, and someone I hoped had gotten tough like I had. I stepped into the bar, and I instantly knew she was there. I could feel her coming toward me. I grinned, facing where it seemed she was.
"Hey, June!" I said with a toothy smile. "Long time, no see... so to speak."
June chuckled back, and we bumped fists. "Have your metalbending and earthbending been going well, little girl?" she asked me, sarcasm evident.
"Heh, you bet, lady," I answered her with a laugh. "I've been getting tough. Do I have muscles to show it?"
"Almost as toned as me," she said in a cocky manner. "With a few more years you might be able to win me in a fight, Toph."
I began to loudly laugh, before punching her on the arm, wrapping my arm around her neck, and hanging from her shoulders. "Well, queen pride, why don't we take this outside and see if I really do need a few more years, hm?"
"A fight with Toph Bei Fong is something I never turn down," replied June. She gripped both of my hands tightly. "And drinks are on whoever loses."
"Count me in!" I yell, following her out of the bar and on to the concrete. "You know, it's been four years. I know I can beat you now."
"Keep telling yourself that, little baby," she snickered, as we circled each other, ready to pounce. "Ready?"
"Let's wrestle," I said. I sprung up and took her to the ground, before she spun me over so that I was beneath me. She held me on my back beneath her knee on my abdomen, but when I slammed my arm into her side, she fell so that she was the one on her back. I instantly decided it would work to straddle her by the chest, and placed my knees at either side of her body, close and almost sitting on her. "Enjoying the view, old lady?"
"You bet, brat," Jun responded before performing a forwards roll into me, causing me to be the one pinned. "Ooh, I think I'll have a countdown now. One, two, three, f-"
I rolled over, pushing her to the ground instead, my hands fixed on her arms. "One, two, three, four, fi..."
She lifted her knee, pushing me off her and on to on to my back and locked her arms with mine. Her knees pushed down against my legs. "You're finished! One, two, three, four, five." She rolled off of me. "Good game. Guess drinks are on you, little girl."
"Maybe you were right about that years thing, or maybe it'll only take a few months," I laughed. We both began to loudly laugh, sat up, and hugged. "It's good to see you again."
"Likewise."
