Hermione watched as her beloved Ron suffered from the dreaded disease, Spattergroit. She knew he wouldn't have much longer to live. Poor Hermione sank down into a chair and wept until Ron's last breath left his lips.
After a long effort, Hermione pulled herself out of her chair and went to tell Rose and Hugo. She knew they would be devastated, as they loved their father dearly. She stumbled to Rose's pretty pink door, knocked – and fell to the floor, unconscious.
