I took a short break from writing High school Life to bring you this short one shot I wrote a long time ago (Don't worry, I'll finish HS Life chapter 20 before you know it. ;) Yeah). I wrote this one rainy day in UP while waiting for my next class.
So, warning: Slight mention of deaths. And, All FMA CHARACTERS, sadly, aren't mine.

Just A Dream
The rain was pouring heavily that day. The sky was dark, and there were occasional flashes of lightning and claps of thunder. The wind blew the leaves on the trees. A storm was brewing that day.
The cemetery had only one visitor that day, a woman. She knelt in front of a new grave, not minding the strong wind and rain around her. The grave had a marble headstone, and was probably only days old. The woman had long, blond hair, now very wet and messy due to the wind and rain. On regular days, she would opt to keep her hair in a neat bun but today, her emotions have overcome her greatly. She was trembling in the cold; the wind blew harshly against her face. In her hand, was a single, white rose, also wet from the rain. As the rain poured, it poured as well inside of her. She cried, let it all out, wishing that what happened a week ago didn't happen.
She knew that she will never hear his voice again, never see his smile or feel his love. She had failed him and she blamed herself for that. Her reason for living was gone, gone forever. The only one who had understood her and loved her for who she was perished in a battle that completely turned her world upside down. But she had made up her mind. She put the rose on the grave and whispered.
"I'm sorry…" She whispered as she put a hand on the headstone and traced the letters engraved on them: Roy Mustang. She then let go, and her hand felt for her gun, the gun that had served her well, and taken the lives of many on the battlefield. She slowly put the gun to her head, and tears flowed as she looked at the grave for the last time. Soon, she'd be with him, in his arms, forever.
A flash of lightning struck followed by a loud clap of thunder. All was silent in the cemetery except for the sound of the pouring rain and the gusts of wind.

Riza Hawkeye woke up with a fright, breaking out into cold sweat. She was trembling slightly has she gripped the edges of her blanket. Her heart was racing as she switched on her bedside lamp. She looked out the window, it was dark, but the rain was pouring. Other than that, all was well.
With a sigh of relief she lay back down on her bed and closed her eyes.
"It was all just a dream…"
