I do not own Harry Potter but the poem is mine

Where do you go

When there's no one left to turn to

It was summer a Privet drive and Harry Potter was sitting up at his desk in his room at the Dursley's. He looked at his alarm clock that read 2:20am and sighed. Harry was having trouble sleeping due to the loss of Sirius Black, his godfather. Sirius was Harry's guiding light and source of humor for the short time that he was with him. He was also the last person that Harry felt that he could turn to.

Where do you go

When around every corner is sorrow

The longing of the loss of Sirius was not a new feeling for Harry. He lost his parents when he was young and was then forced to be raised with his Aunt and Uncle. "They never cared for me" thought Harry bitterly. He witnessed Cedric die in the last task of the Triwizard tournament and then Sirius falling through the veil in the Department of Mysteries.

Where do you go

When everywhere you go are the shadows

When Harry got thinking about Sirius he got thinking about Voldemort. There her was hunting down Harry and trying to kill him every year and then there was the prophesy. As Harry thought of it he grew angry. If Dumbledore would have told Harry the prophesy earlier Sirius may still be alive.

Where do you go

When the words bring no comfort

As Harry sit at his desk he stopped writing to think about the people who mean something to him. Ron and his family are like Harry's adoptive family. Ever since Harry met Ron on the train to school they have become inseparable and best friends. Harry paused to think about Hermione. She is like the sister that she never had. She was like Ron, inseparable but only after saving her from a troll in their first year. They have offered him sympathy but the words bring nothing to him. "I appreciate it" muttered Harry to Hedwig, his faithful snowy owl, "but they try to push when I'm not ready and it annoys me" He was still grateful to have such good friends.

Harry looked at his alarm clock again and it read 4:30 am so he got to work scribbling down the rest of the writing that he had started. As he finished he looked at it and smiled, it was what he felt.

Where do you go

When you have no one left to turn to

Where do you go

When around every corner is sorrow

Where do you go

When everywhere you go there are shadows

Where do you go

When the words bring no comfort

What do you do

When the tears won't fall

What do you do

When the pain welled up inside reaches its max

What do you do

When you can't hold out any longer

What do you do

When you're left only to the shadows

Harry the put it under the loose floorboard in his room and flopped down on his bed and fell asleep.
