Rowling does. I only own Sarah.
It was a hot, summer day in Kentucky. Actually, it was more humid than hot but that's besides the point. Sarah was sitting on the front porch of her Father's house; she was visiting for the summer. She was wearing a pair of jean capris and a white peasant top with white flip flops. Her brown hair was in two French braids and she was wearing no make-up, in her hand was a letter of acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She had sent the notice back saying that she would attend, that gave her four weeks to get her supplies. The sound of something treading on rocks caught her attention and she glanced at their circle drive. Lane, her best friend, was riding up on his four-wheeler. She smiled and got up walking over, she gave him a hug.
"Where have you been?" she asked. Lane grinned sheepishly and brushed some hair out of his face. He was about 6'2" and he had sandy brown hair with mellow blue eyes. His freckles were visible and he was pale, not a trace of any kind of tan on him. He took off his baseball cap and wiped the sweat from his forehead.
"You know, around.." He said looking down.
"Am I supposed to believe that?" she asked and then started laughing at his pathetic answer. He nodded and then hopped onto his four-wheeler.
"Fine, I've been at Brittany's" he muttered, "What's the letter for?" he asked changing the subject quickly.
"I was accepted" she said excitedly, but he was frowning. "You didn't get one, did you?" she said quietly. He shook his head.
"It's okay, as long as you write me every day or something.wizardry runs in your blood, not mine" he smiled. She nodded,
"We are leaving tonight for London" she grinned, "I'm already packed and everything, this'll be so much fun" she hugged Lane. "Thanks for coming" she whispered "This will be the last time I see you till next summer." he nodded and then started his four-wheeler up.
"Have fun Sarah, be careful" he smiled and took off. She nodded and then ran inside to get her belongings. She was quiet as she loaded them into the car, she checked to make sure she had her trunk and a few other things.
"I'm ready" she yelled to her Dad as she hopped into the car and buckled up. Her Dad came out of the house and hopped in.
"Plane tickets?" she nodded "Money?" she nodded "Key?" she nodded again "Let's go!" he said and buckled up. They pulled out of the driveway and Sarah took one last look at her home and sighed.
[-London-] Sarah got off the plane alone; she was to meet up with her mother now that she was in London. She looked around and spotted her mother; she ran over and gave her a hug.
"Mom" she said as they embraced. "I've missed you so much" her mother nodded in agreement. They walked together out to her mother's car. They got in and buckled up; they left the airport with the trunk and other belongings in the trunk of the car.
Once at the house Sarah dragged her belongings up to her room. She ran back down the stairs with her key in her hand.
"Ready Mom? I need money" she said as she walked out the front door. Her mother followed behind and they walked down the street towards the Leaky Cauldron. They passed familiar and unfamiliar faces, soon they were in the alley and her mother tapped on the bricks just like Hagrid had done for her so many times before. Sarah eyes widened as she saw all the little shops, they walked towards Gringott's. Sarah had the key in her hand as they walked inside. She took a deep breath and then told herself 'This is where my adventure begins' she grinned.
