We are soldiers. We are the 141. We are the best. We are the strangest group of people to ever walk the face of the Earth. I'm Gary Sanderson, better known as Roach. I earned that name because I'm impossible to kill. I've survived everything from prank wars to being shot, and in this line of work that's just the minimum. Now that I've told a bit about myself, I'll tell you about everyone else on base. First up is Captain MacTavish, a Scot. He's a really nice guy, you can talk to him about whatever whenever. He's really dependable and always has your back. He's also a pranking legend. He is the absolute best at prank wars, after all he did learn from the best, Captain Price, but I'll talk about him later. Captain MacTavish is always very observant, there's nothing on base that can get by him, sometimes I swear he's got eyes in the back of his head. One time, he put me on dish duty for a week after I "started" a food fight, I flew him "the bird" after he turned his back on me. He turned around and calmly said "two weeks", and simply walked off. All I could do was stand there with my mouth wide open like a fool. After that I pretty much was one, you don't give your Captain the middle finger behind his back.
Next up is the Captain's right hand man, first lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley. He's a guy no one wants to mess with. He is better known for his infamous skull balaclava and red tinted sunglasses. It just adds on to his intimidating demeanor. When I first joined the Task Force he was the first person I met. Instantly I was terrified of the man, he was always barking orders during training, and when he wasn't training us he would always seem to be in a bad mood. Despite all of this, we became really close friends, probably because every mission we went on I would almost die, and every time he would be the one to save my skin. Another thing about Ghost is no one but the Captain has ever seen his face; he sleeps in his mask so even then I don't know what he looks like, and I'm his roommate. Ghost has also had a troubling past that he doesn't really share with anyone; Price, the Captain, and I are the only ones who know. All that he's been through I'm surprised he hasn't snapped years ago, that's why I look up to him; he's brave, resilient, and a good friend.
Next is Captain Price, he was Captain MacTavish's old mentor. The two share a close friendship and the first name John. I don't see Price often, he prefers to hang out on his own, but when I do see him it's always at mission briefings. I guess he's just naturally a lone wolf kind of guy.
Now last but not least, the "dream team", Meat, Royce and Worm. They're the bases mischievous pranksters; they've pranked everyone on base. The three of them even pranked one of the cooks by putting a fake mouse in a pot of spaghetti sauce. The cook wasn't too happy and made them make a brand new batch. Did I forget to mention that they couldn't cook to save their lives? In the end I just settled for some fruit. Each one of them has their own individual personalities, Worm is Meat's right hand man, and they are always with each other. Royce on the other hand is quiet most of the time and would occasionally pull his own tricks. Last but not least is Meat, he's always picking on me. Everyone else does it for god humor, he just does it to be a jerk, and he's just lucky I'm not the kind of person who angers easily, or I would've gone off on him months ago. I swear the three of them were meant to be friends. Well, this just proves how we, the 141, live our crazy lives, we're a family, a crazy dysfunctional family, but somehow, we make it all work.
