A Twist of Fate
Ch 1
It was a clear night as Leah and Carley csat around a camp fire in the woods in Maryland.
Carley had came for the summer.
"Leah I think we're going to need more fire wood." She said eating fruit.
"Sure I'll get it." Leah replied as she put some of her long chestnut hair behind her ears.
But she heard an explosion in the middle of the woods
"What was that noise?
I've got to check it out!" she thought running to the area where there was a huge crater.
"Wow something must've crashed from… upthere!" she said going down into it.
But there was a strange pod in the crater.
"I wonder what it is. Masybe… it's a sign that there's life out there!" she said as it opened and something flew out of it.
Leah then used her left arm to shield her face but something attached itself to it.
It was a watch but not any she'd seen before.
It was dark green and had a weird dial.
There were ten aliens on the dial.
She then accidentally slammed down on the dial.
It then beeped loudly as green light surrounded her.
"W-What's going on?
What is it doing to me?" she asked worriedly as she became molten lava and fire.
"Aah! I'm on fire, on fire, wait! It doesn't hurt!
Cool! Wait until I show Carley!" she said running back to the camp site.
"Hey look at me!" Leah yelled excitedly as she showed her.
"L-Leah?
How did you become Heat Blast? Unless…" she asked waiting for something.
Suddenly the symbol that looked like the watch dial beeped and glowed red.
Carley watched as red light surrounded her friend and she was back to herself.
But she was more excited about what was on her friend's left arm.
"It's… the Omnitrix! You're so lucky!
How did you get it?" she said excitedly.
"Calm down!
What is this thing on my wrist?" Leah replied.
"It's the Omnitrix an alien device that allows you to become ten alien forms but only for a while but you can hack it so it won't time out like that.
You realise you could be a super hero with this!" she explained to her.
"Wow that sounds awesome!
Maybe this watch isn't so bad if it lets me become an alien.
Carley's right. I could help people with this.
Maybe it was Fate that this happened." She thought smiling.
"What alien was I a while ago?" Leah asked.
"You were Heat Blast who is made of lava and fire which makes you immune to fire and hot stuff.
You looked so cool." Carley answered as they were in their sleeping bags.
But somebody was watching them. It was an alien teen. He had glittering purple skin, blue eyes, slender and had bat like wings.
"So some puny human found the Omnitrix?
No matter. I'll destroy her easily. She knows not the power at her hands and it'll be her down fall!" he cackled.
His name was Kain. He'd fallen to Earth in the meteor with the Omnitrix.
He'd hoped to take it himself but had failed.
He was an unusual alien.
Leah then woke up the next morning thinking. She had a weird dream where she was fighting some strange freak.
But she shook it away. It had been Kain trying to scare her out of being a hero.
She smiled looking at Carley. She was still asleep.
She looked so cute asleep but something worried her.
She had to keepp her safe seeing as freaks could attack because of the Omnitrix.
"I wouldn't want you to be hurt or worse." she thought...
