Note: Okay, here is my first poetry one shot. I decided to post it early, haha. Now, through out this story you will have a couple of ideas

of which girl was killed. I'mevil, and you'll find out at the very end, so no reading ahead, or it'll ruin it, okay! Enjoy!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was a night,
like any other,
a starry sky,
not a cloud in sight,
but the news,
held the worst news,
anyone could ever imagine.
"A girl was killed today,
at the age of 17."
a newscaster said.
Everyone thought the same thing,
such a shame,
must have been somebody good,
to be put on the 6 o clock news.
"The girl had went to East High."
The newscaster went on.
Everyone thought the same thing,
Such a shame,
Wonder if we knew her.
"The other driver was drunk and high,
slammed into her car,
drivers side,
She died on impact."
The newscaster paused.
Everyone thought the same thing,
such a shame,
wonder how her parents are holding up.
"The girl who was killed has been identified as..."
Everyone was shocked.
Some stood,
some cried,
some simply walked away,
thinking it was all a nightmare,
that their best friend,
and girlfriend,
was dead.
Gone.

The next day at school,
was more of a dream,
then a day.
More of a dream,
then reality.
Flowers and cards,
surrounded her locker.
Candles were set up at a display.
Everyone was in a daze,
nobody paying attention.
She did not deserve to die at 17.
She had a great life,
but it was taken from her,
with one drunk driver.

The funeral was so surreal.
All her friends and family were asked to speak,
but only did one touch the most.
With the truth he spoke,
"She was smart and pretty,
a good actress, a good singer,
she had a future in her hands,
she listened to her mother,
spoke no bad about her father,
she was home on time,
a good friend she was,
the best girlfriend,
a girly girl with the girls,
but a pal with the guys,
She was self conscious at times,
but was not afraid to express herself."
He paused,
afraid all the unshed tears would fall,
but none did,
not yet,
he still spoke,
"Her faith,
was also important to her,
She said everyone deserved,
to be forgiven,
but I think it's time,
we question her faith,
does her killer,
deserver to be forgiven?"
With that he spoke,
"She may be gone,
but her memories are not,
and neither is she,
I will make sure,
she still lives on."
He walked off the stage,
hoping to get at least a 'no',
or a clap,
but instead he got weeps,
he got tears,
he finally felt the emotions,
that would not come out before.
He ran off outside,
Felt her presence there,
then did he sit in the grass and cry.
He looked at the sky and saw a cloud,
with her smiling face in it.
He closed his eyes,
and smelled her sent.
He then realized,
there should be no regret,
there wasn't a thing he could do,
and he had to move on,
it'd take some time,
yes,
but healing itself took time.
He sighed deeply,
He missed her so,
but what else could he do?
He sighed and looked back at the clouds,
and saw her smiling face.
He knew now,
it was reality,
not a dream.
For a girl named,
Ms. Gabriella Montez,
was dead.
