Rose sobbed into his shoulder.
"I'm sorry" She says, looking into the icy blue eyes of Christian Ozera.
"You must be hurting as much as me." She said wiping her eyes.
"Nah, I knew it was coming, just didn't know when or who or where. Never thought it would be with Belikov."
Just hearing his name sent Rose into a new round of sobbing, Christian, seeing this pulled her into his side and ran his fingers through her hair.
Rose calmed down some, she was a sucker for anyone that played with her hair. Christian murmured apologies into the top of her head.
After Christian's shirt was completely soaked with her tears, Rose stopped and choked on one last sob and wiped her tears.
"Sorry, you EVER tell anyone about this, remember, I can kill you 18 different ways with a paper clip."
Christian managed a weak laugh, glad to see some of the Rose Hathaway bravado back.
Although he would never admit, he fell in love with that Bravado.
Rose hugged him tightly for a moment, simply enjoying his comfortable embrace, she released him and looked up into his eyes, and was surprised when she never noticed how much of a beautiful, striking blue they were.
