This is also short, but it was on my list of things to write, and I had time. -Rin

Mr and Mrs Inui had gone out for the evening, leaving their teenage son, Sadaharu, alone in the house. They trusted him not to set anything on fire while they were gone (he always notified them when he was working with a flame).

Sadaharu's mother had said there was food in the freezer for his dinner, and all he had to do was warm it up in the microwave. Sadaharu stayed in his room and read for a few hours before he started getting hungry.

He got up and went to the kitchen, opening the freezer to see what his options were. He chose a microwaveable corndog and put it in the microwave, setting it for one minute. While his food warmed, Sadaharu poured himself a drink and set the table.

As he was folding his napkin, he heard a small hissing noise. What? Just as Sadaharu realized it was the packaging of his corndog, there was a loud bang from the kitchen. Oh no...

He ran to the microwave, which had shut off. When he opened the door, little curls of smoke escaped. He took out the corndog, its package slightly blackened and torn open in the middle. It had burst in the microwave, and Sadaharu realized he had forgot to open one end of it. When he saw the little scorch marks on the inside of the microwave, he sighed.

How am I going to explain this?
