Summary: A poem I wrote about Mary Alice in the asylum. In this poem she's still human, and hurting from being shunned and locked up by her loved ones. Remember, even as a human she's slightly 'psychic', so I tried to incorporate that in this poem.
Disclaimer: Stephanie Meyer owns Alice. Not me.
Alone in this room
With nothing to say
Nothing to feel
Just Be.
If I tried to disappear –
Would you let me?
Or get in my way?
As I sit
I analyze
Everything you'll ever say
And wonder
What you said today.
Does it matter?
Words.
With my future so uncertain
Staring in the dark
I confess
I have nothing left to find.
I write my soul on these walls with blood
And hide my shame in the inky black.
One day I will wash away.
I'll be without legacy
My life over with nothing to show for it.
No one to remember me.
So I'll let myself
Fade
Away.
