Valentine's Day, a pokémon fanfic

Hello! I'm back again. I just had to take a break from writing because I had no idea what to do in my next story. But I have gotten an idea now, so buckle up, and here we go! Also, you've probably noticed by now, but this is for Valentine's Day! Spread the love!

Misty's POV

I sat on the soft grass, waiting for the Valentine's Day fireworks. I was alone because Brock was on vacation to see his family, and Ash went out to do something.

I have to admit, I do feel pretty lonely right now. I wish Ash was here...

Ash's POV

I walked into the giant store, and quickly looked around. I had to be fast. I looked at my watch, and it was 9:45 pm. The fireworks start at 10. I need to be on time. I have to hurry up! I rushed up to the store clerk.

"Do you have anything that I can get for a special best friend of mine?" I hurriedly said. "Is this special best friend a girl?" he asked. "Yeah." I nodded.

"Okay, how about both of these?" the store clerk said, holding up a big heart-shaped box of chocolates and a smaller box shaped item. The store clerk opened the small box, and it showed a beautiful necklace with a red heart-shaped ruby.

"I'll take it!" I eagerly shouted. I bought it, but it was extremely expensive. Let's just hope she likes it. I ran to my car, and quickly got in. I looked at my watch again, and it read 9:51. It's almost time...SHIT!

Misty's POV

I am still waiting for the fireworks. "I guess Ash isn't gonna come.." I thought aloud. I saw some people getting the fireworks ready. It was gonna start any minute now. I guess I'm spending the best part of Valentine's Day alone.

I looked at my watch, and it read 9:57. Three more minutes...

Suddenly, I hear a car screech to a stop. I look behind me to see Ash stumbling out of his car. He looked at his watch and shouted "Right on time with three minutes to spare!".

I smiled at him as he walked over to me.

Third Person POV

"You're here..." Misty quietly said.

"Of course I'm here, Mist!" Ash cheerfully exclaimed as he sat next to me.

Misty looked at her watch again. It was 9:58. Two more minutes...

"So where did you go?" Misty asked.

"Somewhere." Ash replied.

Misty's POV

Ash pulled out two things from his bag. One was a big heart-shaped box of chocolate, and the other was a smaller box. When he opened the small box, I gasped. It was the most beautiful necklace I have ever seen! It had a red heart-shaped ruby.

"This must have been so expensive!" I exclaimed.

"It was, but I still wanted to get it for you." Ash said. He helped me put the necklace on.

I looked at my watch again and saw that it was 9:59. One more minute...

I looked up at Ash and he did the same. We stared at each other for what seemed like forever.

Then, people started counting down for the fireworks.

Ash and I both leaned forward. I could feel my heart pounding madly.

We were only a centimeter apart, and I could feel his breath.

The fireworks shot to the sky like comets as our lips touched. He wrapped his arms around me. It was so magical. We passionately kissed as more fireworks were released.

We pulled apart for air after a long time. I smiled up at him.

"I really love you, Mist." Ash quietly said.

"I love you, too, Ash." I happily replied.

We both looked up and saw that fireworks were still being shot into the sky.

He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him.

I blushed and put my head on his shoulder. We both watched the fireworks for the rest of the night.

"Happy Valentine's Day." Ash said cheerfully.

This was definitely a Valentine's Day that I will never forget.
