This one is pretty short, but I had a list of things I wanted to write and this was one of them. -Rin

Shishido Ryou and his doubles partner, Ootori Choutarou, had practiced all afternoon. Finally, in the evening, when the grips of their rackets were damp with sweat, they went inside (but only because they couldn't see any more). It was too late for Shishido to walk home, so they made it a sleepover. They'd had sleepovers before, sometimes with all the Hyoutei regulars, so both sets of parents were fine with it.

Choutarou's mother had ordered them both to shower, or she wouldn't give them breakfast the next morning. "I won't have my kitchen smelling like a pair of sweaty teenage boys. You know I love you, but you stink."

Choutarou went first, leaving Shishido to sit on the floor in his room. Shishido knew Choutarou wouldn't take long, so rather than find himself something to do, he looked around at the room.

He'd seen it all before, of course: Choutarou's bookshelves, the music stand in the corner, the little framed picture of a treble clef and a bass clef together in the shape of a heart, and on the bed, the stuffed dog Choutarou slept with every night. Shishido narrowed his eyes at the dog. Choutarou would always snuggle under the covers with that dog, looking all cozy. Shishido didn't see what was so special about it, it was just a stuffed animal.

He stood up and went to the bed, picking up the dog. Its sewn-on smile greeted him. Tch. He put it down on the bed. Why did that stupid stuffed dog get to sleep with Choutarou? Wait. No. He wasn't going to be jealous of a stuffed animal. Even if it did get to snuggle with Choutarou.

Okay, maybe he was a little jealous. But only a little.

Or a lot.

He sat on the edge of the bed and picked up the dog again, examining it. It smelled like Choutarou, just like the rest of the bed. Shishido laid down on top of the blankets, holding the dog. Maybe he would just stay here for a little while.

Choutarou finished showering and dressing. After brushing his teeth, he went to tell Shishido it was his turn.

"Shishido-sempai, I-" He stopped when he saw that his sempai had fallen asleep on the bed, curled up around his stuffed dog. It was kind of cute, actually.

Choutarou took Shishido's hat off and set it on the bedside table, pulling the covers over him and kissing him on the forehead. He turned off the lights and slid under the blankets next to Shishido.

"Good night, Ryou." He whispered.
