Under the Moon
It was at lunchtime it at happened, is was strange as post normally came in the morning before lessons began. Luna sat and watched the barn owl that flew towards her. The note it dropped on the table before was short and simple.

Luna was eager to see who could possibly be, so shy but so romantic at the same time. The rest of the day consisted of double Potions and Transfiguration. This didn't bother her however, the day flew by. She only had one thing on her mind and got of told of more than once by Professor McGonagall during the last lesson of the day.
"Ms Lovegood" She said sharply, "Will you please pay attention"
"Yes Professor" replied Luna
At midnight that night she raced up to the Astronomy Tower to find laid out the top a the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. A picnic was waiting for her glowing in the moonlight, and there next to it was the one person she had hoped would be there. Neville Longbottom was sat there as shy as ever, waiting for her.
"Luna, I didn't think you were going to come" he said quietly.
"Why wouldn't I come" Luna replied
"Because it's me I suppose, stupid as ever" said Neville in a matter of fact tone
"I don't think you stupid" replied Luna as they helped themselves to some of the Pumpkin Pasties that Neville had brought with him.
An hour passed as they ate and chatted to each other about how one another days had gone, their thoughts and feelings and how to deal with life. Then it suddenly came to him and Neville thought to himself "If I don't do this now I never will, it's now or never"
"Luna I need to tell you something" he said nervously.
"What is it" Luna replied worried about the tone his voice had taken.
"I love you Luna, I have done ever since I met you, you light up my world better than anyone else…" He never finished his declaration of love to Luna as she had threw herself at him, and pressed her lips to his shutting him up. The kiss was long and passionate and every feeling between them was energized by it. As they broke apart Luna finally replied "I love you to Neville" and then she fell into a fit of silent giggles.
Right this moment at this moment watching the love of his life giggling silently, Neville turned to look at the moon and felt that if only there was a Dementor he could of made the worlds best Patronus.
"Me under the moon with a beautiful girl on a beautiful night" thought Neville "who would've thought it"
