Chapter 1
Riiiing!
The bell rang saying it was the end of class and time to go. I quickly gather all my things and walk out the door.
I head to my dorm room. My roommate, Maddison is out so I quickly sneak a peak at my phone to see if there are any missed calls or possibly texts. There are none.
It had been exactly 4 hours and 27 minutes since my last text from Bex.
I had asked her if she was busy this Saturday night and if we could possibly hang out, but she didn't answer. I thought about Zach. He said he was going on a top secret mission somewhere. And every good spy knows too secret always means dangerous and you'll probably never get to talk about it. Not like Zach ever told me anything. He always loved to keep things from me, to have the upper hand and make people beg for what they wanted, and never truly telling the whole story. He was just like his father, Edward Townsend. I remember how agent Townsend was like that during my junior year. He was my cove ops teacher for half of the year and he was always mysterious. I still can't believe I hadn't guessed that Zach and him were related.
I slowly look to see if Macey and Liz had said anything. They hadn't.
"Ugh" I sigh.
I put the phone down and sink down on to a bean bag by a window. I pull out all my homework and books from my backpack.
About 10 minutes later I hear a small beep.
I jump at the sound and quickly run to my bed to look at the text hoping it was from Bex, Zach, Macey, or Liz.
When I see who it's from I gasp.
It was from the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Women.
