Title: When the walls fell

Genre: Hurt/Comfort, slight angst

Characters: Sasuke, Naruto, mentions of Itachi.

Pairing: SasuNaru

Word count: 235

Summary: At night, Sasuke never needed a teddy bear. He already has his own.

Disclaimer: Naruto= Not mine. Enough said.

Sasuke never quite saw the point of clinging to stuffed animals.

What was so comforting about the sight of a scraggily old teddy bear? A soft toy certainly couldn't protect anybody from half the terrors that plagued the night.

Psychopaths, murderers, evil masterminds were the least of it. Sasuke certainly didn't cling to any fluffy toy while in bed, scared shitless.

After all, a teddy bear didn't protect him against Itachi.

Instead, Sasuke sleeps side by side with his blonde teammate, the Uzumaki kid. He even finds them (Unknowns to Naruto.) sharing a bed when Sasuke's plagued with a reoccurring nightmare.

Nobody would understand why, an Uchiha of all people, would resort to Naruto for comfort-

-But Naruto's better than any teddy bear.

Because, after all, the blonde did rescue him from the darkness, despite the cold, hostile way Sasuke regards his teammate. Naruto has protected Sasuke with his life and battle the boy's terrors fearlessly.

Even after the silent nights and the angry, hate filled words, Sasuke still has Naruto.

He can still, silently and swiftly, crawl in to bed beside the sleeping boy and stealthily hug his teammates warm body to his, feeling, for once in his life, safe

So every time Sasuke is tormented by nightmares, or haunted by Itachi's face, he finds himself clinging to the blonde uncontrollably.

Though only sometimes does Sasuke ever feel slightly less guilt for his dependency.

Because, sometimes Naruto clings back.
