Nearly a year had passed since his humiliation on Total Drama Island, and he was still living with the after effects.
It turns out that apparently stalking a girl then having her reject you on TV did wonders for ones reputation.
So does pissing your pants in fright. Or getting mauled by a bear on live television.
Grades started to slip, friends were driven away, and bridges burned.
Slowly he began to resort to self destructive behavior.
Alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, and cutting. But nothing seemed to work.
He could not seem to forget her.
She was everything he'd ever wanted in a girl.
Smart. Pretty. Funny.
But there were some things in life you couldn't get no matter how hard you tried.
It was clear from the start that she was beyond is league.
Trent was the object of her affections, not him.
The self proclaimed ladies man had learned a hard lesson that day.
Sure he had money.
Sue he had friends.
But he wasn't cool.
Nor was he a ladies man.
Not.
One.
Single.
Bit.

All thanks to Gwen.
So perhaps it was by chance, or some sick twisted turn of fate, that he was forced to return for a second season.

Going.
Back.
To.

Hellhole.
Cody could always decline, but Chris had him under contract...rephrase that...they were all under contract. So he was going whether he liked it or not, and he most certainly didn't like it.
He was going back.
But could he really do it?
All of his so-called friends would be there.
So would Gwen.
The girl that got away.
The girl whose memory tortures him to no end.
But a lot can change in a year, he was proof of that.
Perhaps Gwen and Trent broke up.
Perhaps he'd have a chance.
Perhaps he'd be humiliated all over again.
Perhaps he didn't care.
The Code-Meister was in it to win it this year.
Nothing would stop him.
Not Courtney.
Not Heather.
And most certainly not her.
After all what did he have to lose?
