A small oneshot I did long time ago, thought I would share, hope you like.
Kankuro had not sparred with his sister for at least 6 months and even then she easily outclassed him. However, this time was different, he had been training relentlessly and Kankuro was sure that he could now take on his sister without being utterly humiliated.
He hoped …
He watched as his siblings arrive to the training grounds and he smirked.
"So you turned up then?" Kankuro taunted his sister, who just sighed as she pulled off her huge fan off her back. Sensing trouble Gaara sighed and wandered off to the edge of the training ground to watch.
"It never ceases to amaze me how much that you love being humiliated Kankuro," she smirked.
"Hmph," Kankuro grunted. "This isn't going to be like last time, Temari. You can't beat me so easily now. I've now …"
"Are you going to be long?" the konoichi interrupted. "It's just I've got a meeting with the Konoha ambassador in half an hour and I don't want to be late."
"Don't worry I'll beat you in time so you can go on your little date with that lazy git," Kankuro replied.
"Look Kankuro you know full well that one of the main weaknesses of the Puppet technique is those that use their wind affinity," the Kazekage said from the sidelines. "Why can't you just let it go?"
"I know I can beat her!" Kankuro shouted to his younger brother. "Do you know how humiliating it is to have your sister constantly kick your butt at everything?"
"No," Gaara replied bluntly.
"Look I'll go easy on you," Temari said as she shoved her fan in the ground so it could stand up on it's own. She pulled out a small fan that matched the purple of her dress. "I'll only use this."
The puppet master snorted,
"I don't need your pity Temari," Kankuro said. "It'll only make you defeat much more quicker."
Temari smirked at her brother's brave words.
"O.K. then lets start!" she said as she gathered up her chakra into her small fan.
Immediately Kankuro unsealed his two most maneuverable puppets charged them towards his sister. With these he could dodge her wind attacks and take her off guard.
Temari waved her fan and releasing a huge gust of wind. As predicted Kankuro's puppets dodged, leaving him wide open so Temari threw her fan like a boomerang straight towards her brother. The fan hit him square in the head and knocked unconscious. As he fell to the ground Temari's fan returned and she caught it before leaning on her larger fan to wait for her brother to wake up.
An amused Gaara stood up from his place on the edge of the field and made his way to the exit.
"Whilst this is very amusing to watch, I better get back to my paperwork," he said.
"Don't worry little brother," Temari said to the Kazekage. "The best is over now anyway."
"Indeed," he said before disappearing, but Temari noticed a small grin on his face. She heard a groan from the direction of Kankuro and smirked.
The puppet master sat up holding his head before looking up to his older sister looking really smug, leaning on her fan.
"You were saying?" she questioned.
"Lucky shot," he replied.
