The Hope of a Lost Lover
I walk alone Think of home Memories of long ago No one knows I lost my soul long ago…
Link wandered through the water temple and thought of the past. That's all he could do now was think of the past. When he reached the room with a beach and a lone tree he thought of the time he first met him…
*flashback*
"You'll never defeat me." Link stated. He swung his megaton hammer at his dark counterpart. Dark Link managed to dodge his swing and with great speed came back and knocked Link down. He had him pinned and his sword was up to Links neck.
"Heh. What were you saying?" Dark said laughing.
"Damn it!" Link shouted as he closed his eyes and waited for the inevitable. But instead of extreme pain he felt a soft pair of lips touch his own. His eyes shot open, shocked to see that Dark was kissing him! The problem was, he kinda liked it. He kissed back and when Dark stated to lick Links lips he happily opened them. Their tongues met and clashed. After a few minutes they pulled back gasping for air.
Dark looks at Link. "Link, I love you, I know Ganon ordered me to kill you but I can't"
"Dark, I love you to. Let's go kill Ganon together so you will never have to follow those orders."
They got up and headed off to complete their quest. Link, with the help of Dark, got through the rest of the temples and Ganon's castle. They were standing in front of the boss room, ready to face Ganon.
"Let's go." Link stated as he opened the huge doors. Inside was a rather large room with a giant organ, which Ganon was playing. He finishes his song and turns around.
"Oh what's this? Dark, I told you to kill Link, instead you fall in love with him!? Oh well that will make this even more fun. Now I get to make you fight each other. MUAHAHAHA!"
Dark is suddenly in front of Link and he's slashing his sword at him. "Link I can't control myself. Ganon's using me like a puppet! You have to kill me before I kill you." Dark says tears welling up in his eyes.
"D-Dark…I can't!" Link replies, tears in his eyes to.
"You must in order to save Hyrule! Forget about me! Link please, save everyone else. At least I'll die for a good cause." With that Dark used the last of his will power to give Link one open shot. Link, crying, thrust his sword into Dark, killing him. Dark collapsed into his arms and Link looked up at Ganon with pure hatred in his eyes, he had to get revenge.
"Now I'm pissed, don't you know not to kill someone's lover? They're going to have to get revenge after that." Link said with hate in his voice. They started fighting and Link soon defeated Ganon. Peace was restored to Hyrule, but not to Links heart, for he had lost his soul.
*end flashback*
Link laid the flowers on the grave. He had buried Dark at that little beach in the water temple where they first met. Life was tough for Link. He had contemplated suicide many times but knew that Dark wouldn't have wanted that. He was going to have to just go on. Maybe, when the time was right, find someone else to love, but that was going to be difficult.
