A/N – To all of those people out there who love (or like -it's up to you) Horatio Cain, I'm warning you now, you may be offended. For all of those people up for a bit of fun, please read on :)

Disclaimer: I own neither song, nor characters. Must I put myself through saying that? Owch.

The Day I Found My Sunglasses--A Horatio Cain Parody

There I was, just a-walkin' down the street signing:

Doo-a-daedy-deady-dum-daedy-doo...

Snapping my fingers and shuffling my feet singing:

Doo-a-daedy-deady-dum-daedy-doo...

Then I saw the sign. An add for a mobile phone company, it said 'join up now and receive a free pair of sunglasses.'

Placing my hands on my hips and brushing the bottom half of my undone jacket back, I read on. At the bottom of the sign it said: 'To celebrate the release of the new movie-'The Matrix Reloaded'-we are giving out a free pair of sunglasses to the first 20 people to join up with us. Join now.'

I hurried off to the given address and walked into the phone shop.

'I'd like to sign up with you, please,' I told the lady. And then she said to me: 'Sure thing, sir. I'll just get you to fill out these forms and we can talk about which deal you'd like to go with. Some of them work better with certain people than they do with others. Oh, and I almost forgot: Here's your free pair of sunglasses.'

And then I saw them.

For the first time.

There, on the counter, were my free sunglasses – it was love at first sight.

I knew, then and there, that we would be together for a long, long time. Just me... and my sunglasses.

I walked out of the shop, paying no attention to the lady trying to tell me to sign the paper before I left. I held my sunglasses carefully in both hands and brought them up to my face, mentally cementing their appearance, shape, size and weight in my mind.

Gosh, I love those sunglasses.

I took them to a café and the two of us shared a coffee together, before heading down to the beach and spending an hour watching the sun go down. I sat there on the bench, my sunglasses safely in my hand and together we stared out to the open sea, watching as the sky gradually changed from blue to orange to pink. And for the first time of many, I put my sunglasses on my head and took them off again for no good reason.

Oh, it was wonderful.

When they weren't on my head, they were tucked into the space between my first and second shirt button. Wow, it really made me feel cool. Then the sky began to turn an unfriendly dark blue, and I knew it was time to go home. I knew I would always remember this glorious day as – the day I found my sunglasses.

Now we're together...nearly every single day singing:

Doo-a-daedy-deady-dum-daedy-doo,

We're so happy, and that's how we're gonna stay singing:

Doo-a-daedy-deady-dum-daedy-doo,

Well I'm there's

(I'm there's)

They're mine

(They're mine)

I'm there's, they're mine – wedding bells are gonna chime!

A/N – I know, I know. How very immature of me. Well, I am young, (see profile), so it's okay to be acting stupid, isn't it? Yeah? People? Approval? Anyone? Okay, then.
