The young boy flattened his light brown hair to his head and puffed his chest out proudly as he stood in front of the tall in mirror in Madam Malkin's Robes For All Occasions. His reflection grinned back at him whilst his new school robes hung from his shoulder's fitting perfectly. "This is it," he thought whilst preening himself in front of the glass "This is the sta...rt of my new life."

"Come on Remus" his mother called to him through the forest of cloaks and robes which surrounded them "You'll spend plenty of time in your robes when you get to school"

It was true. Remus had been granted the opportunity of his lifetime. He was going to Hogwarts.

Only a few months earlier Remus' parents were fretting because it was severly unlikely that their only son would be able to go to the mysterious castle school which all of his friends were chattering excitedly about. To them his lycanthropy was an unavoidable curse which would stop their baby from achieving his dreams.

However, to Albus Dumbelbore, the head tacher at the famous wizarding school, it was just another important reason for Reus to attend. The professor made special provisions for him and very soon a particularly elegant snowy owl flew in through the Lupin's kitchen window.

The letter it was holding in it's beak would no doubt change Remus' life. Forever.
