The dying part? That wasn't so bad.
The one year to live? Well, it was more than his Dad got.
The whole going to hell thing? He wasn't exactly thrilled, but he could deal.
But the part that got under his skin? What really had him freaked? Yeah, that would be the hell turns you into a freaking demon thing.
Don't get him wrong, he figured that some bad stuff went down in the pit. But he'd been thinking more along the lines of never ending torture, possibly being forced to listen to Hitler sing Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On", or being trapped in a room full of every demon he'd ever sent back down there—you know, normal bad things. Well, at least the Winchester version of normal bad things.
But the fact that all of whatever actually happens down in the seventh circle eventually turns you into a demon—the fact that he was going to become one of those disgusting pure evil bastards… It had never occurred to him. Although, to be honest, he'd figured that he would probably be dragged through every circle except the first.
Strangely enough, this fear of becoming the very thing he hunts felt vaguely familiar, but since he'd never feared becoming a werewolf or a vampire, he couldn't quite place it.
So, he internally freaks out as he watches his brother search for answers. He knows him like the back of his hand and little brother's never been good at lying. At least not to him. Apparently his brother hadn't realized it yet, but trying to get him out of this deal was like trying to unscramble an egg. The only one who could break this thing was him and he'd be damned if he was going to allow his brother to die again just because he didn't want to go into the pit. Guess he was damned if he didn't anyway. At least that was a situation he was used to—damned if you do, damned if you don't.
He'd made his bed, so he was going to have to lay in it.
He'd made his choice, and he was just going to have to die with the consequences.
