I own nothing

After helping Danny walk to their bedroom, a slow task, Lindsay helped him into bed and crawled in next to him.

"I'm proud of you," Lindsay said as she leaned over and kissed him.

"For what? Doing something that I should have weeks ago?" Danny asked her, remembering his earlier conversation with Hawkes.

"What are you talking about?" she asked, not knowing what Hawkes had said to him.

"Hawkes said that I should have been out of this chair weeks ago, that I wasn't trying as hard as I should have," Danny explained.

"Well, I think you did it quick enough, I mean, just look, you just moved your toes two months ago, and now you're walking, after six months of not walking. That's pretty damn good if you ask me," Lindsay replied.

Danny leaned over and kissed Lindsay. "So, I was thinking…"

"What…"

"How about we don't tell everyone, I come to work in a wheelchair, and when I'm processing something, I'll stand in the lab working and see how long it takes someone to notice."

Lindsay laughed. "Okay, when?"

"When's our next shift together?"

"In two days…"

"In two days it is then." With a few more kisses, they rolled over and went to sleep.

****************************Two days later****************************************

Danny and Lindsay were standing in the AV lab three hours into their shift when they put their plan in motion. With the help of Lindsay, the wheel chair was moved out of the way, so Danny could move a little more freely in the small space that he felt comfortable being in, the table still in front of him if he need it for support. Lindsay stood on the other side of the table, processing, and watching her husband work, being prepared to help him if he needed it.

Outside in the hallway, Stella walked up to Mac to give him the results of their victim's autopsy. "Hey Mac, Sid confirmed COD, gunshot wound to the che-" she stopped mid sentence, looking over Mac's shoulder into the AV lab.

"What Stella? Something wrong?" Mac asked her.

"No, I just think that two people forget to share something with everyone else…" she began. Mac turned around and looked where Stella was looking, and smiled. Inside the AV lab was Danny, talking a few cautious steps back to the table to continue processing.

"Well, would you look at that," Mac said.

"What?" asked Hawkes walked up to Mac and Stella. Mac just pointed. "Well, someone's back on two feet where he belongs," Hawkes replied looked where Mac pointed. Together, they walked into the AV lab.

"Okay, looks like someone forgot to mention something," Stella said looking at Danny.

"What are you talking about Stella?" Danny asked, playing dumb.

"Oh, maybe about the fact that you can WALK," she said, putting the emphasis on walk.

"Oh, we didn't forget, this is just more fun," Danny said.

"Hey, so what do we got? Any idea who our perp is?" Flack asked as he walked into the room.

"Uh, no not yet. Still waiting on results," Danny replied.

"Okay, call me when you get the results," Flack said as he turned around and walked out.

"Okay, did he not notice, or was it just me," Stella asked. Suddenly, Flack returned back to the room.

"Wait… Messer you're standing… Since when can you do that?!?!" Flack asked in shock.
