Simple Moments like These

Fluff, because this pairing has too much angst!

"Can I sit here?"

"If you want."

"If I didn't want to, would I be asking?"

Ivan replied with silence, and the small man sat down next to him on the hill. Why a hill? The hill was filled with sunflowers. And anyone that's a country knows that Ivan loves sunflowers. The tall flowers swayed in the breeze, they didn't move much, for their stalks were much too sturdy.

The breeze was enough to loosen Yao's hair tie, and send it flying off somewhere. He watched the scarlet ribbon, fly through the air, rising and falling, not bothering to go after it. The movements it made in the air made Yao think of a dragon. The ribbon gracefully flying away in the wind.

"Aiyah..." he sighed, and watch it blow away, until he couldn't see it anymore.

The Slav glanced over, and let a small smile grace his features, "It's okay, I like it down."

"It's not like I have anything else to tie it up with anyways..." his voice trailed off.

"Good." Ivan replied and took off his glove. He ran his finger through the silken hair, twisting it around when he got to the end, he would run through the hair again, and repeat the process.

The locks were so easily combed through, soft, and so tempting just to touch. Having a glove on while doing this was pointless, the feel was the most important part. Ivan loved Yao's hair.

Yao used to question why he would do this action, but stopped after he realized Ivan would only reply with sappy answers, and never stopped this habit he formed. Yes, it was a habit, every time Ivan was with Yao, he had to run his hand through his hair.

It's not like it felt bad, or hurt him, Yao actually loved the feel of someone running their fingers through his hair. It was actually quite relaxing, but it just bothered him that Ivan thought he had the privilege to do so, and it made him feel like a woman, when he did so...

Yao and Ivan sat on the hill, watching the sunflowers, and the sun setting. By now though, it was getting quite late, and the sky started to fade from it's brilliant orange.

Ivan sighed, because he knew when it got late, the latter would have to leave. Yao got up.

He's going to leave. Ivan thought to sadly to himself.

But instead, Yao walked over, and outstretched his arms, the breeze blowing towards him, he closed his eyes, and stood there until the breeze stopped. Yao went up to a sunflower, and snapped it's tall stalk.

Ivan watched the man with great interest. Yao made his way over to where he was sitting, placed the sunflower in his lap. He leaned forward and placed a kiss on the unsuspecting Ivan. Unsuspecting was exactly how he felt, usually Ivan was the one to start all the kissing.

The chaste kiss lasted only a few blissful seconds, and he pulled away.

Without giving anymore thought, he walked away, slowly walking down the hill back to his house.

Ivan was smiling to himself, smoothing the petals on his favorite flower.

The sounds of walking stopped.

"See you tomorrow."
