A/N: In my universe Jessie doesn't get her nickname "Panchita" until she's three or four. Let's see just how she got that nickname.

Estella watched from the doorway as Race leaned down to kiss Jessie's forehead, "Goodnight, Little One." He murmured.

"'m not little." Jessie protested. The three-year-old, who would be turning four soon, looked adorable as she sat there pouting and sounding dead seriously.

Race was doing a fairly good job at hiding how much he disagreed with that statement as he sat on the edge of the bed. "You're always going to be my Little One, Jessie." He answered.

"No. Not little." The girl protested.

Estella leaned against the door frame, biting her lower lip to keep from laughing out loud.

Race sighed, though his ice blue eyes were dancing with the laughter he was holding back. "So you want a different nickname then, huh?" He asked.

"Yes." She answered seriously.

"Hmm..." Race frowned as he tried to think of one. Or rather, he pretended to think. Judging by his eyes, Estella could tell he had suspected this would happen eventually and had a backup plan. "What about... Panchita?"

"Panchita?" Jessie tilted her head to the side a bit.

"Yeah." Race nodded.

"Okay. I like that name." Jessie agreed.

Estella started walking away, about to burst out laughing. She was giggling quietly when she made it to the master bedroom. Race joined her a few minutes later, "What's so funny?" He asked.

"She is going to be so upset when she realizes that 'panchita' means 'little one'." Estella answered.

Race just grinned in response.

A/N: Race strikes as the kind of guy who would be like: "I don't care if you're (insert age here), you're still my little girl.". Also, I'm going by what I read on Jessie's page on QuestFan where it is explained that somewhere in Central or South America panchita means little one. If that is incorrect, I apologize. (And someone better go fix that page then.)
