"Ana!" Kate shouts above the crowd and the heavy thud of the bass vibrates in her chest, "Have you seen Ana?" She yells in random strangers ears that probably have no clue who that is. Everything around her is spinning. Alcohol and boats are a terrible combination.

She knew Ana was right. They never should have come to this party. Ana was always right. Once she finds her they're leaving…except they can't. Why the hell she thought it was a good idea to go out on some random guy's boat just because he was hot is beyond her. He was delicious though. Tall, blonde and handsome with soft green eyes and the most charming smile she'd ever seen- a panty dropper for sure.

Where the hell is Ana?

Kate did an entire sweep of the boat- more like a yacht that so conveniently is somewhere off the Pacific. God knows why Kate chose this to be her stupid decisions of all stupid decisions she could have made.

Ana left for two milliseconds to get a drink and then bam-she was gone. Nowhere to be found. This is bad. This trumps postponing studying for finals until the hour before, eating that thing the restaurant claimed was a taco, even trumps streaking in the WSU stadium in the middle of the night after a drunken escapade down at the bar with Jose and a few of the other guys.

Jose is going to rip her one for letting Ana come to something like this. There's alcohol everywhere, every guy has once hand on a tequila shot and another wrapped around some sleazy girl who's probably too drunk to even spell her own name. These kinds of things can be fun back home with the loud music and cute college boys but there was always that sign that says "EXIT" in bright red letters to provide a little comfort. All Kate could see was waves.

Ana finally found a bottle of water and chugged it down in massive gulps. Her throat ached from all the alcohol in her system. Everything seemed a little fuzzy. She reached into her purse, searching for her little pill case. She pulled out a few Advil and swallowed them quickly, tucking the case back in.

Through the craziness of it all Ana got separated from Kate. She could have sworn she was right behind her. Kate had probably wandered off with that Elliot guy. The way they ogled each other was just about enough to make anyone want to vomit.

His hotness was just about the only reason Kate wanted to come to this stupid party. It wasn't all that bad, she thought, wandering through the crowd to the upper deck. Guys offered her drinks but she declined- Ray would just about kill her if she knew she went off on some random guy's boat for an all-night party let alone take drinks she didn't see made.

Ray probably wouldn't approve of the tiny little excuse for an outfit she was wearing either. Skin tight jeans tucked into little cowboy boots and a white shirt that was fairly thin and showed off half her midriff with only a bikini underneath. Kate said it was a head-turner.

Ana wanders through the crowd hoping to find Kate. At least she knows she's on the boat, she couldn't have just disappeared. Besides, Kate's not much for swimming.

Some drunken guy- a few years older snakes his arms around her waist possessively, suddenly attempting to plant messy, gross kisses all over her. Ana shoves but he doesn't budge. "Let go!" She shouts. He tightens his grip.

Suddenly a hand is at Ana's chest but it's not the sloppy kissers. It's gentle, but firm, separating her from him. From the sound she hears under all the music she can tell whoever did the pushing was much harder on him than Ana. She stumbles back, feeling a little dizzy from all the alcohol.

Lights start flashing and she hears the sirens, the red and blue light up the dark water and everyone's eyes. Suddenly everyone's panicking, rushing to hide. They all swarmed past her, not bothering to look where they stepped or shoved.

Her foot slipped on the deck from the man dropping his drink all over her. Then it happens. Her butt's up against the rail and she topples over. She's falling, fast, head first. A hand slides on her leg, attempting to grab her before it slips.

She hits the ocean like bricks.

Wet. It's all wet. She stop herself from gasping- being submerged in the salty ocean. It's all so dark and she can't see anything the salt's burning her eyes. She can't bring herself to swim back up to catch a breath because she can't tell which way is up.

Help. She needs help. She struggle against her clothes as they cling to her, making her feel heavy. It's all so dark.

The lights from the police boat illuminate the water just enough to see a figure swimming towards her, reaching out they grab her. But then Ana fades.
